South African Breweries Miller
(SAB Miller)
Brewed by Transmark Limited, a wholly foreign owned company and a subsidiary of SAB Miller. In January 1998 they bought and modernised an old Soviet beverage factory in Kaluga, a city 180 km's southwest of Moscow.
The Golden Barrel (Zolotaya Botchka) brand has been produced there by its sister company, the Kaluga Brewing Company, since May 1999 and currently holds around 5% of the market, though it only officially distributes its beer in European Russia.
